Important Surface Limits

Drywall damage may point to a roof, plumbing, HVAC, structural, pest, or moisture problem. Zion does not cover an actively damaged area until the underlying cause has been corrected and the surface is suitable for repair. Mold assessment or remediation, hazardous-material work, structural repair, and concealed-condition work require a provider qualified for that scope.

Texture blending can reduce the visual difference between a repair and the surrounding surface, but aged or heavily textured areas may still show variation. The estimate states whether finish paint covers only the repair, the full wall, or the full ceiling.

Helpful answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the source of the damage need to be repaired first?

Yes. Active water intrusion, movement, or another continuing cause should be corrected before the affected drywall is closed and finished.

Will a texture repair disappear completely?

Zion works to blend eligible textures with the surrounding surface, but age, prior repairs, lighting, texture depth, and coating history can leave visible variation. The written scope defines the planned finish and paint limits.

Can Zion paint after the drywall work?

Yes. Priming and painting may be included so the repair sequence is coordinated from surface preparation through finish coating.
